New filing requirements for W2's and 1099's

There is no more waiting until March to send your information returns to the IRS.  Congress passed a new law in 2016, that requires we send W2 and 1099 forms to the IRS by January 31 each year.

You have always been required to send the forms to employees and vendors by the end of January, but could wait until March to send the IRS a copy.  Now under the new law effective right now, you have to send the IRS their copy at the same time as the employee and vendor. That's January 31!

If you just need to file a couple of information returns Yearli offers a great "do it yourself" electronic filing option.

If you need more help or have a lot of forms to file email me directly wray@needacpa.com.

Don't wait you have to have those 1099's and W2's done by January 31, 2017
