From Jan 27: new series of workshops for anyone interested in improving knowledge or skills, being a better volunteer, sharing information about nonprofit activities and/or learning more about nonprofits in Japan.
Jan ~ Feb: we wrap up 10 years of the Tsuda International Training program. hoping to move the program elsewhere
Feb - I will moving to a new office and hope to have our monthly community service meetings there - find out more in the next newsletter.

Winter community service workshop series
Workshop series #1 Introduction to nonprofits series - Jan to Feb, 3 sessions.
Friday nights, 6:30 ~ 8:30
Jan 27 – Intro to series, intro to Japanese nonprofit sector
Feb 3 – Fundraising basics
Feb 10 – Intro to Volunteer Management
Fee: 5000yen per session or 12,000 yen for all 3
Registration deadline: Jan 14 12noon
Confirmation will be sent on Jan 15 to all who have signed up.
Workshop series #2 Nonprofit NGO Skills series – March to April, 5 sessions.
Monday and Friday nights, 6:30 ~ 8:30
FR March 10 – Intro to the series, registering an org in Japan
MN March 13 – Fundraising part 2
FR March 24 – Grant writing basics
MN March 27 - Project Management
MN April 3 - Retaining volunteers
Fee: 5000yen per session or 20,000 yen for all 5

Venue: Workshops will take place in a community center in central Tokyo. Details on contents, payment and venue access info will be sent to all interested.
Based on the outcomes of the first two series, I will prepare others in summer as well.

DIVERSITY DOJO:MEDIATING THOUGHT DIVERSITY & CONFLICT AT WORK
Free training workshop to learn skills to empower diverse teams and mediate cross-cultural conflict. Each session is a stand-alone workshop focusing on a different tool for promoting and implementing diversity at work and across cultures. You will leave these workshops with new skills and new friends!

About Jan 20 and 21 Tokyo events related to the upcoming inauguration
