Teddy Bears! Teddy Bears! Teddy Bears!
Phoenix Panhellenic set a new record at the 2016 Celebration for Charity by collecting teddy bears for distribution to several Phoenix area fire departments and emergency responders to comfort children during emergent situations.
2,238 Teddy Bears
were donated to Arizona Highway Patrol, Gilbert Fire Department, Glendale Fire Department, Mesa Fire Department, Phoenix Fire Department, Rural Metro, Salt River Fire Department, and Tempe Fire Department.

WANTED: Phenomenal Panhellenic Women
Now is the time to honor a phenomenal woman from your sorority. The Phoenix Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award is presented annually to a Phoenix area sorority alumna who has exemplified the NPC Mission and Creed during the last five years. Applications must be completed by the nominee by February 14, 2017 and include an online application and letter of reference.

Need $Money? Scholarships Await
Active collegiate sorority members and alumnae continuing their education are eligible to apply. Since 1975, Phoenix Panhellenic Association has raised over $750,000 for collegiate scholarships. Panhellenic's main source of funding is through our volunteers working at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

NPC Recognizes Phoenix Panhellenic
Linda Purkapile ΔΔΔ, NPC Area Advisor was a special guest at the November Council meeting. She presented Phoenix Panhellenic with TWO awards: Citation of Merit Award and the Programming Excellence Award. Linda also gave an overview from the NPC Annual Meeting held in St. Louis.
Meet Linda Purkapile, NPC Area Advisor
Linda pledged Delta Delta Delta at Iowa State University in 1968 where she majored in Applied Art-Interior Design. Since 1974, she has served ΔΔΔ in a number of volunteer roles at the local, regional and international levels including as Associate Director of the Alumnae Experience and on the Leadership Development Committee. As a member of ΔΔΔ NPC Delegation for the past six years, Linda serves as NPC Area Coordinator for 26 Alumnae Panhellenics, Area Advisor for University of Arizona College Panhellenic, and on the NPC Judicial Appeals Committee.
Professionally, Linda has worked for a civil engineering firm, manufactured housing companies, in investment banking and her own antique store. She also enjoyed teaching after-school drawing classes and served/sold wine at one of the first wine bars in the area. Linda has traveled to many countries and enjoys food and wine/beer pairings with great friends. She appreciates the opportunity to network with friends across the country as she travels on sorority and NPC business.

Also mentioned were Alpha Tau Omega, Beta Theta Pi, Chi Phi, Delta Sigma Phi, Delta Tau Delta, Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma. Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Theta Chi, & Tau Kappa Epsilon.

The Phoenix Panhellenic Association Centennial Scholarship Fund has been established with the National Panhellenic Conference Foundation so Arizona sorority women can fulfill their dream of graduate and undergraduate level education.
Endowment funds are made possible from Phoenix Panhellenic Philanthropic Projects and individual donations. The inaugural scholarship award will be awarded at the 2020 Phoenix Panhellenic Centennial Celebration of Sisterhood.
