The Get Active Expo will give you fresh ideas and inspiration to be fit and healthy in 2017!

Come and try activities in the Active Zones and watch sports in action in the Active Demonstrations. There'll be a stadium full of sporting, health and recreation organisations from around Townsville.

Be one of the first 100 people through the doors to receive a free Get Active prize pack and there will be giveaways throughout the day!

Townsville Tours & Trails Launch 

Pubs on Palmer

Explore the history of Palmer Street's hotels with the Pubs on Palmer trail, a new Townsville Tours & Trails app-based guided tour. 

JCU History student Rohan Lloyd will give a history of Palmer Street and its pubs and Heritage Officer Ted Brandi will lead guests on the tour. Bottled water and a snack will be provided as well as a souvenir sun hat.

Australia Day 2017

Celebrate our great country with the 2017 Australia Day celebrations at Jezzine Barracks! Highlights include the Townsville RSL Aussie Day Fun Run and Breakfast, Citizenship Ceremony, Flag Raising Ceremony, Royal Australian Air Force flypast, 21-Gun Salute and Australia Day Awards. There will also be amusement rides, an Australian car display, food court and live entertainment.

Drawing works from the incredible City of Townsville Art Collection, Perc Tucker Regional Gallery marks Townsville's 150th year with Picturing Townsville, an exhibition of hidden treasures created across those 150 years.

Each artwork captures a moment in time and tells a story of the development of our city, and the issues and events that have shaped our community.
