SHL Volunteer Activity: Potluck in the Park

at Mall Park (corner of Columbus and America Streets)
This Sunday SHL will be hosting the "Potluck in the Park", a weekly event that provides food and other needed items for the poor and homeless in Charleston. Help is needed to prepare and serve food.
So far, the following volunteers have agreed to bring the following items:
- Esther - 5 roasted chickens
- John and Barb - chili
- Laura - green salad
- Steffi - chicken pot pies
Among the items still needed are wrapped sandwiches, sterno cans, and whole fresh fruits.
If you would like to volunteer to bring something or to help serve, please write to volunteers@lowcountryhumanists.org so that we can coordinate our team effort.
A few notes: The weather is predicted to be lovely on Sunday. Setup for the event begins at 12:40 and the meal officially starts at 1:00PM, but should be over in plenty of time for us to get to the monthly SHL meeting at Gage Hall later the same afternoon.
