Alasdair Mitchell and Hayley Sinclair joined Playwrights' Studio, Scotland this month. Alasdair is our new Administration and Communications Assistant and Hayley Sinclair is our new Communications and Projects Coordinator.

A Little Hello From Alasdair
In the biblical chaos of 2016, learning I'd be taking up an exciting new role with Playwrights' Studio, Scotland was a fantastic surprise. As an avid tea drinker, I was thrilled to discover an organisation run almost entirely on Redbush. I'm delighted to join the team here and look forward to the year ahead: working hard to promote, support and engage with the vibrant community of playwrights scribbling throughout Scotland.

A Little Hello From Hayley
I love communication, I love projects… so this is a pretty perfect role for me. Born in Scotland, brought up in England, I am now happily settled back north of the border and raring to go in my new role for Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland. I look forward to doing all I can to support and encourage the diverse and exceptional talent of playwrights throughout Scotland.

Tron Theatre has been a major player in Glasgow's cultural scene for over twenty years. Producing and presenting an eclectic collection of new writing, reinvigorated contemporary classics, dance, comedy and music, the Tron occupies a spot in Glaswegian hearts as unique as the building that houses it - the 16th century Tron kirk, survivor of over 500 years of cultural change and social upheaval.

This week, playwright Gerda Stevenson is developing her new play, Out of Eden with support from Playwrights' Studio, Scotland's Professional Workshop Programme. Playwrights' Studio, Scotland are presenting a reading of the play as a Talkfest as the Tron event.
