iReal Pro in 2017

10 years ago, Steve Jobs announced the iPhone and thus, parallel to my music career, my coding career started and eventually iReal Pro was born.

iReal Pro has been around for 8 years growing and evolving immensely also thanks to the amazing community of musicians like yourself that contributes to the forums and helps spread the word about the app.

This year we have a big release coming with many new exciting features.
The biggest one is going to be cloud synching for iOS and macOS devices. The songs and playlists that you import, create and edit, will automatically appear and stay up to date across all your devices (iPhone, iPad and macOS) that are logged in with your iCloud account.

Cloud sync is one of the hardest computer science problems there are, and we've been working on it for over a year. We are almost ready to open public testing and need your help. If you run iReal Pro on more than one device (iPhone, iPad or Mac) you can sign up here for our public beta testing program. You'll be notified when it goes live.

In addition to sync and a long long list of smaller improvements on all platforms (iOS, macOS and Android), we have updated our audio engine so that you'll be able to change tempo during playback, the sounds will be better and we'll be able to have styles with up to 4 instruments. I'm currently working on the new styles and with the ability to have for example bass, drums, piano AND guitar, they will sound much fuller and interesting.
