Every so often we get tour requests in which the guide learns more than the client. This is what happened recently when I was asked to provide a hip-hop tour for two stylish gents from London. Now, let’s face it, I'm a nerdy Jewish white kid from Flatbush. And although Brooklyn isthe home for hip hop legends such as Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def and Raekwon, I don't know nuthin' about rap or hip hop. So when a local hotel asked me to provide a tour, focusing on local legend Biggie Smalls and all his hangout spots, I jumped at the chance to learn more about the Notorious B.I.G.
