NEW SERMON SERIES BEGINS JAN. 15

Rev. Troy Tatum will start the new year with a new sermon series, Life Comes At You Fast. Often we use the new year to try to change our habits and attempt to take control of our lives, nonetheless, most of us keep getting even busier, even more stressed, and even further away from the life we want to live. Yet Jesus has promised peace. Perhaps life with Jesus offers us a different path and a quiet center. Join us starting January 15 to learn more.

On February 10-11 our church is hosting a spiritual and educational event sponsored by the Christian Church in Alabama and Northwest Florida. The weekend gathering begins with a worship service on Friday at 7:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Frank A. Thomas preaching. This worship service precedes the one-day Regional event for congregational leaders.

Workshops will start Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. The church will cover the registration fee for FCC members and friends, so please make every effort to attend some or all of this great event. FCC MEN'S TENNIS FELLOWSHIP

Friday, January 13, starting at 5:00 PM

"Tennis for Fun" meets at Brookhighland Racquet Club this Friday starting at 5:00 PM. This is a "C" level tennis group that plays twice a month as part of Men's Fellowship at First Christian Church. The Show Stoppers featuring Carolyn Goodall are headed to FCC! Join us on Wednesday, January at 11:30 am for a delicious lunch prepared by Jenny West and a show stopping performance! Cost for lunch is $8. Reservations are due to the church office by January 16, 2017.

CARING & SHARING
January, 25 at 5:00 PM

Caring/Sharing group will meet on Wed., Jan 25 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Kathey Long. Please bring munchies/appetizers to share. All friends of the church are invited.

We are all so glad to be back in school after the holidays. I think we all do better with a schedule!

We are busy getting ready for our T.A.N. Circus. It is such a fun time for us! You may not see elephants at the “real circus” anymore but you will probably get to see one perform here. All our children will be performing this year! It is guaranteed to be a lot of fun for all. Please make plans to attend if you can. Our circus will be Thursday, January 26 at 12:30.

Thank you, Gary Franklin, for helping us maintain our playground and storage shed. Thanks for fixing one of our main pieces of equipment. From time to time they do need a little TLC and Gary is always willing to help.

Put on your pj's and join us January 22 at 4:30 pm for pizza and popcorn and we'll watch Secret Life of Pets. Bring your pillow and a sleeping bag for a fun night!

REGIONAL YOUTH RETREAT

Join us for Youthtopia, our regional Winter Youth Retreat at Camp Chandler Jan. 20-23. Cost is $125 per person. Registration forms are available from the church office or online. Registration forms are due now. Please contact Robin Blakemore for more information.
