First African-American woman elected diocesan bishop
The Rev. Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows was elected 11th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis in October 2016 and is the first African-American woman elected to as a diocesan bishop in the Episcopal Church. Baskerville-Burrows will be ordained and consecrated on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University. Read more here...
