January 14/15 plans

This Sunday is the first race of the TBF series in Granite Bay, CA.  The race starts at 8 AM and I incorrectly listed the start as 9 AM in the season preview email a few weeks back.  I recommend arriving by 7 AM to allow time to register and warm up.  We will not have a pre-ride as I had hoped due to the 8 AM start.  The trails will be muddy...probably very muddy as that area has also had a ton of rain with more over the next few days.  Friday through Sunday is supposed to be mostly sunny in Folsom and race day should be 55 degrees but in the 40's at race start at 8 AM.  These are great training races for those that have the time to attend.  We will not have a team meeting before the race.  If racing you should arrive early and get yourself registered.  Several parents and coaches will be around before the races start to answer questions.  You can email me with any questions you may have.  Myself and Ann Miers plan to head down with Mya, Jackson, and Lucas.  Please let us know if you will be attending.  More info can be found on the TBF website www.totalbodyfitness.com

As always with these races we will watch the weather and may cancel our plans if needed.

For those not racing:

We will have a ride on Sunday depending on the weather and the mud.  The tentative plan is to meet again at Hidden Valley Park as it has the best chance for dry trails.  Paul Miers will lead this ride if I am in Folsom.  We will wait to set a time until we get a better idea of the conditions...  An email update will go out later this week.

Stay dry/warm!

Kyle
