Happy 2017 Everyone!

We hope you are all having a fun-filled winter break! If you are taking Winter courses, we hope they have not interfered with the holiday joy and that you have taken time out to enjoy this holiday season to the fullest. Although we are still on Winter break, we would like you to know that your TPCs are available to you now! They will be on campus and reachable throughout the rest of the winter break; therefore, please feel free to reach out if you need help or simply want to chat! With that said, enjoy the rest of your time off and we hope you have a great time back.

New Year, New You?
Let's start with some beginning of the semester tips to get that ball rolling!

1. Stop by campus prior to the beginning of the semester to avoid getting lost. It's okay, we've all been there.
2. Beat the lines, buy your parking ticket online!
(Purchasable via your myCSUDH portal)
3. Purchase your textbooks early to avoid falling behind in the semester.
4. Give yourself enough time to arrive to campus to find parking prior to your class starting times, it is especially packed the first couple of weeks of the semester.
5. Once you have all your syllabi for all your classes, immediately highlight all deadlines
6. Drop/Add classes within the appropriate deadlines. Remember, it is your responsibility to do so.
7. Join a club/organization to get you more involved this upcoming semester if you did not already in Fall.
8. Make a list of items that you need to set time aside for (i.e. studying, club hours) to avoid being overwhelmed throughout the semester.
9.  Check your ToroMail regularly! There are tons of interesting and informative items in there, like this newsletter!

10. Meet with your General Education Advisor and Major Advisor early in the semester!

We know, we know; we saved the best tip for last.
