Professional Development for Craft & Visual Artists - Active Listening

Off The Rails Arthouse, Ladybank. Friday 3 February 2017,
2-4pm.
Free.

Led by Louise Ritchie, this session aims to help artists solve or identify their own problems and move forward with their practice. It is based on the concept of Active Listening: a skill that can be acquired and developed with practice. 'Active listening' means, as its name suggests, actively listening.

Each participant has the opportunity, in a supportive and secure context, to explain a challenge or issue that they have with their practice. The group listen deeply and independently construct reflective questions which are then given back to the 'issue holder' and taken away. There is no dialogue during the description of the challenge or in response to the questions. This approach is aimed at giving practitioners thoughtful insights and perspectives on their issue to help them make their own decisions.

Places are limited. Book HERE.
