TEAM
Two associates for Mei
Exciting news was revealed during our New Year's get together. Robert Winkel anounced that Michiel van Loon and Robert Platje will become associates of Mei. With their many years of experience, both Michiel (left) and Robert (right) will prove to be great representatives of the office, especially considering the growth of both the team and the practice. Reason enough for an extra round of drinks to celebrate!

SPUIBOULEVARD
City center living
The run-down ANWB office at the Spuiboulevard in Dordrecht will be replaced by a new residential building designed by Mei. The project commisioned by Van Pelt will feature an articulated facade with a warm presence. The plans will be presented to 300 potential buyers in February, as there is much interest in these kinds of residential units. The sale is expected to start before the summer of 2017.

DE VERKENNER
Live-Work Loft
In the residential tower De Verkenner, a unique combined living and working unit was realized. The possibilities created by high ceilings, big windows, open kitchens, and “great rooms” are visible in a charming photo series by Ossip van Duivenbode. Have a look here.

GOUDA CHEESE WAREHOUSE
Under construction
The construction site of the old cheese warehouse in Gouda is bustling! Last October we started the 'cutting of the atrium’ phase, bringing light, air, and space into the building. Curious about this spectacular transformation? Take a look at a video series from the construction site.

DOLL'S HOUSE
Doll's House completed
Joint effort and solidarity bring about the best results. That’s the belief that inspired Mei’s design for the “Doll’s House” project, a collaboration to help children suffering from metabolic disorders. Building blocks: the entire Mei team and friends, 5000 scale-model ‘dolls’, 25 tubes of glue, 423 hours of teamwork, and a lot of patience. All the Doll’s Houses will be exhibited and auctioned in March 2017. See the results.
