Back into the edit for the final push...

Hi everyone and a very happy New Year. I hope 2017 has been getting off to a great start where you are. Things are picking up a gear here at Tenner Films HQ so it seems a good time to give you a quick update on how things are progressing with 'The Atom: A Love Affair'.

If you saw my last newsletter, you may remember that in the last couple of months of 2016 we embarked on a series of test screenings of the film. More than 150 people watched the rough cut at 9 screenings across the country - if you were one of them, a HUGE thanks for your time and constructive comments.

Armed with all that valuable feedback, my editor Phil and I are now back in the cutting room working towards the final cut. Lots of ideas are being hammered into shape - and lots of coffee is being consumed!

Whilst we're beavering away, archive producer Karen is helping us keep on top of the mountain of archival footage in the film. And in the next few weeks, I'm very excited that our fantastic composer Paul Honey will be starting work on the score for the film. You can check out some of his great work here (fans of Cbeebies 'Old Jack's Boat' in particular!)

I'll keep you posted as we move to the finish line. In the meantime, we do still need to keep raising funds to complete the film - and all the perks from last summer's crowdfunding are still available if you'd like to make a donation to help us on our way.

It's been a long old journey to get to this point (I was not quite yet 30 when I first conceived of the idea of a film about nuclear power way back in 2006 - and I've just celebrated another *big* birthday!) but we really are nearly there now. Thanks for sticking with me through it all.

with all my love and thanks as ever,

Vicki x
