Destinations Expo
Destinations Expo gives young people the opportunity to meet and talk to businesses, colleges, training providers, and universities to understand the range of options that are available to them post 16 and 18.
Over 2000 young people attended the event based in Reading on 8 December. Students from years 10-13 had the opportunity to engage with up to 60 business professionals from a wide variety of small, medium and large companies across the Thames Valley.

Compass Careers Benchmark Tool

Compass is a free online tool that enables schools to evaluate themselves against the eight, nationally recognised, Gatsby Good Career Guidance Benchmarks. The tool provides schools with an immediate comparison of how they compare to the eight benchmarks so they can focus on the areas that need the most improvement. Click here to access Compass.

Young Enterprise Tenner Challenge 2017
Tenner is a free national competition for schools and colleges, where students are challenged to set up a business in four weeks and are given just £10 to do so. The competition gives students an opportunity to understand what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

National Career Guidance Shows
This year, the National Career Guidance Shows will follow the theme of 'Advising an Advanced Generation', exploring the rapidly evolving careers climate due to digital advancement, and demonstrating how we can prepare to advise a more digitally advanced generation of young people.

Founders4Schools bridge the gap between students and local business leaders
Founders4Schools' mission is to inspire students and prepare them for the rapidly changing world of work. An online platform has been created that enables teachers to invite local business leaders into the classroom to deliver inspirational talks, mentoring and careers fairs.

CareerMap
CareerMap is a website for 15 to 19 year olds looking for an apprenticeship, work experience and other early career opportunities across a variety of sectors including finance and hospitality. The STEM Insight Programme offers staff in schools and colleges the opportunity to experience STEM-related work in university or industrial settings and gain knowledge of STEM careers available. Click here for more information.

Cogent Skills' Future in Science Programme
The Programme works with young people from 11 to 18 years old to showcase the breadth of careers and variety of routes into science based industries. The Programme is delivered by over 250 Science Industry Partnership Ambassadors.

AllAboutSchoolLeavers has published the Ultimate Guide to School and College Leaver Options. This includes essential information on apprenticeships, school leaver programmes and sponsored degrees, alongside advice about university, further education, gap years and clearing.
