Dear Veggie Lovers,

Happy New Year!

I think it's fitting that the first Veggie Box of 2017 will be delivered just days after our first snow storm of the year. A small beacon of light on these cold winter nights.

This time of year I usually find myself falling into a routine of curling up on the couch at 6pm with dinner in hand and watching TV for a solid three hours before falling asleep. I hardly get anything accomplished and then by the time spring rolls around, I regret not being more productive during the winter.

I challenge everyone to stay motivated this winter! When things slow down, be sure to try a few new recipes using your Veggie Box! After you are warm and nourished from delicious local foods, maybe spend your evenings reading through some books you've been meaning to get to or enjoy time with family and friends. You can try something new or return to a neglected hobby. Winter isn't so bad when you fill it with activity!

Vacation/Cancellation Policy

On Thursdays, we contact farmers and let them know how much produce to harvest for the next week's Veggie Boxes. If you plan to be on vacation, or would like to cancel your subscription, please let us know by the end of the business day on Thursday. (More notice than that is even better!) After Thursday, requests to cancel a box for the following week cannot be processed.

Pickup Deadline

Farm Fresh RI is not responsible for Veggie Boxes not picked up the day they are delivered, and cannot replace them or refund them if they are no longer there after delivery day. The latest times that Veggie Boxes can be picked up vary by site. Please contact your site coordinator to learn the specifics for your location. Veggie Boxes should always be picked up on the day of delivery. Some sites are able to hold boxes overnight if they are not picked up, but this is not possible at most sites.

Missing Box Policy

What do you do if you go to pick up your box, and there aren't any boxes left? Contact your site coordinator and Farm Fresh RI as soon as you discover your box is missing—just send one email to both your site coordinator and veggiebox@farmfreshri.org.

We will do our best to find the missing box or get a replacement box to you. If that is not possible, we will issue a refund. Please be sure to contact us within 24 hours of the delivery. After 24 hours, Veggie Box will no longer be able to replace or refund your box.
