Current and former Bellevue Men's Club members,

We had a great year in 2016 and are looking to build on that for this year. We paid out close to $25,000.00 in tournament winnings plus $1,000.00 cash in side games PER TOURNAMENT. We strive to provide fair competition for all levels and a fun atmosphere during the tournaments.
We are looking to increase our membership in 2017 and we’d like to get more participation in our tournaments. If you have any friends or co-workers looking for a men’s club, please encourage them to join our club. The best recommendations are word of mouth. And don’t forget we have the bring a friend discount again this year - $125 for two of you (versus $75 individually). If you choose this option, both of you will need to fill out an application and return it to the Pro Shop. Otherwise your friends and co-workers can join in the Pro Shop or online through the WSGA (Washington State Golf Assoc). Please join as soon as you can. Once we receive your application and get you activated, GHIN updates the 15^th and the last day of every month. Note that you will not have a handicap until GHIN updates.

With your membership in the men's club, not only do you get the ability to play in the monthly men's club tournaments but these benefits as well:

We are looking at new software to help us run our tournaments called Golf Genius. Some of our members will attend a seminar in February on its use and implementation. It should help to simplify planning and running our tournaments. We will have a few new formats to our tournaments this year. Our Tournament Chairman will let you know of the changes.

In addition to our new e-mail system you are seeing here, our Facebook page is also a great place to meet new members, ask questions, provide feedback and stay informed. So please, join our Facebook group and like our email to help get the word out to your friends and fellow members.

2017 Tournament News

The start of our tournament year is right around the corner. February 25^th starts the race to qualify for our skins finals. If you haven't yet joined the club, get to the course and do so. You can get a copy of the application here. Check out the "bring a friend" special below as well!

Also, as a member you will have the opportunity to participate in pro-am tournaments at some of the best private and public courses in the area with head-pro Troy Rodvold and assistant pro Matt Anderson. Look for a list of those tournaments to be included in an e-mail once the schedule has been finalized.

I am changing a few things up this year:

All NET Tournament
Looking at some past results, the single and double-digit handicappers have shared the top ten low net scores almost 50/50. I am very curious to see the results. Also, by paying only one flight, 1^st place should be a nice chunk of change.

Choker Tournament
It is a 4-man team event. I played in the format at Avalon G.C and it was a lot of fun.

Skins Finals
Once again we will be having the Skins Finals. To qualify you must finish in the top 8 gross OR net points in the overall standings. You earn points just by playing in an event and additional points are added based on your gross and net finish.
You get 25 points for each event played and 2 points for your place x the number of players in the tournament. Example; If 50 players are in the tournament and you win 50 x 2 + 25 = 125 points. Majors have double skins points so you can make up a lot of ground playing in these.

The club tournament operating budget for 2017 is forecast at $8,500.
We are looking once again to surpass $25,000 in book money payouts and over $11,000 in cash side games.

The club is switching to Golf Genius tournament operating software for 2017. If it comes with a website, I can finally stop paying for our BMGC site. The new format looks promising in its set-up. Golfers will be able to track stats and real time scoring in our events.

2017 Member Discounts!

For the 2017 men's club season, we will again be featuring the "refer-a-friend" discount. If you bring in a new member, the usual fee of $150 for the two of you will instead be discounted to $125. Bring in another and will give you an additional $10 off. Bring in a third, well, you get the idea.
