Devotion. That’s a strong word. It speaks of love and loyalty. I instantly think of Olympic athletes or die-hard fitness nuts. It’s a word that speaks of love and loyalty. To what are you devoted?  Loving your family? Excellence in your profession?  Here’s a question: to what would you say our church is devoted? This week we’ll observe the very first church and see it’s first descriptor is “they devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching.” (Acts 2:42). Come this week as we unpack this priority in both our lives and the life of our church.

Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of Our Faith -
 (6 lessons)

Without faith it is impossible to please God. So what is faith? Where do I get it? And what does it look like lived out in my life? This study of Hebrews 11–13 will answer these questions and more, encouraging you to fix your eyes on Jesus and run with endurance to the finish line.

Please join us as we study Hebrews Part 3, Wednesday evenings 6:45-8 pm for our discussion or stay for the video teaching until 9 pm.  Jan. 11- Feb. 22.  Jan.  11, we will start with a mini "How to do inductive study" and get started in Lesson 1.

Everyone is welcome!  Workbooks are $15. Or just join us by marking up the text alone without the workbook.  Please contact Jenni at jjswink@att.net if you plan to join us.

Centering prayer is a spiritual practice that cultivates contemplation with God. Martin Laird describes contemplation this way, “Communion with God in the silence of the heart is a God given capacity, like the rhododendron's capacity to flower, the fledgling's for flight, and the child's for self forgetful abandon and joy."

Please join us as we attempt and encourage one another in developing interior silence by practicing Centering Prayer, Thursday's in the TCBC prayer room 12-1. Our time will be spent in 20 min of silence with God and one another, reading Martin Lairds book, "Into the Silent Land" and 10 min of intercessory prayer. Feel free to just come when you are able.
