Happy New Year! Everything we do begins with an intention. As we go into the New Year, may our intentions be filled with the desire to alleviate the suffering of others, to be a source of love, light, peace and strength in the world for all sentient beings. May 2017 be a year of great compassion and the courage to speak up for the oppressed. May it be the year that we manifest our compassion and our best selves by showing kindness and respect to all beings, may it be a year that we find and live our own purpose.
2016 was a wonderful year for ARC, with many new friends joining us to work together to co-create the compassionate world we wish to live in. And we have lots of exciting plans for growth in the coming year that depend on all of you! So please read on below for details about our general volunteer meeting coming up this Friday, Jan. 6th, as well as details about our next ARC Cafe fourth Saturday of this month, and other upcoming events. If you're interested in volunteering with ARC or just learning more about our work in 2017, please join us! We'll be setting up committees for volunteering to help with our dinners, and doing outreach and we'll be talking about other upcoming events and demonstrations including Mardi Gras leafleting, another Worldwide rally against trophy hunting, organizing our annual banquet, and more. We are really growing but can't do it without your help! So please join us for this general volunteer meeting Friday, January 6th at 5:15 at Plantation. ARC Veganuary Cafe

Come celebrate Veganuary at the ARC Cafe. All are welcome! This month we're warming up with some of our favorite comfort foods, including chili, shepherd's pie, pot pie, coconut creamed greens, pumpkin pie, and Smores!
Dinner is served buffet style from 6-7:15. Then please join us for a screening of the long trailer for a documentary Tracey is working on, "The End of Suffering", which explores the connections between the way we treat non human animals and some of the greatest social issues of our time. Also, we'll be doing door prizes including some delcious artisanal nut cheese from Miyoko's Kitchen.
All by donation. All donations go towards supporting our mission of creating a more compassionate world for all beings.
