We are excited to kick off 2017 with an announcement:
The Northeast Media Literacy Conference is back!
This event will take place on February 4, 2017, at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. The deadline for proposals–including interactive poster sessions, research papers, teaching workshops, and student showcases–is January 9. For more information, read the press release from organizer Yonty Friesem or contact Dr. Friesem directly.
We at the Action Coalition for Media Education are proud to be involved. Much of the ACME board will be present; Dr. Lori Bindig and Dr. Bill Yousman will be featured speakers. We hope you will join us for this revival of the Northeast's long-running media literacy education conference! And we hope you will submit a proposal to share your expertise and energy.
Let's make 2017 a year for critical media literacy action. Working together, we will grow the movement and change education!
Challenge Media / Make Media!
