Happy 2017 to all of you out there. Thank you for all your continued support.
What a lovely start to 2017! Thank you Mike Harding for playing 'For Sophie (This Beautiful Day)' on the New Year's Day show. 'Sophie' will be on my next solo album 'Faraway People', as well as the album I'm currently recording in Germany with Stockfisch Records. Click on the photo of Mike to hear the show (I'm on at 18:40). As Mike says, the song is "a reminder of what can happen when we let the wrong people take over".
Now that 'December' is over, if you enjoyed the album, it would be lovely if you'd give a vote of support to it on Laurel Canyon's 'best of 2016'.
This is a Facebook vote and the link is HERE.
You will need to have a Facebook profile join the 'group' and then refresh the page, then scroll down and give me (and of course any of the other albums which made it to your top of the year) a tick!
Thank you x
The release of my new solo album 'Faraway People' is planned for later this year. Here's is a taster from the recording sessions. This album feels a timely step on from England Green & England Grey, and will include my take on the the ravages of austerity, injustice and inhumanity in this country and in our world, how history repeats itself as well as a look at some brave and interesting characters. Please help us to fund the project by pre-ordering a signed copy (with a personal thank you from me) HERE
Faraway People is the title track of my forthcoming album
which will be released in 2017. I recorded the song at Kitchen Floor Studios London with Roy Dodds.
The names in the song are real. They are a tiny few of the thousands who have died as a direct result of cuts to their disability allowance by Atos, or because of the bedroom tax. Please pre-order the album to help us fund it into existence.

It was really lovely to hear 'Christmas Song' from 'December' on BBC Radio 2 Folk Show on their Christmas show.
Mark Radcliffe said: “Reg Meuross, a sensitive, socially aware songwriter, much admired on the scene for many years.” The song applies to anyone who has fallen on hard times and you can here it at 14 mins on the show HERE
It's not too late to donate to my Refugee Aid campaign HERE. Thank you to everyone who has already done so.
