Hawks Family of Restaurants ~ January Newsletter

Happy New Year! Throughout the month of December, we look forward to a break after the New Year's Eve push, but just as soon as that break draws near, it seems it's time to begin planning for Valentine's Day and the rush begins again. It makes me smile to step into our restaurants this time of year - there is a renewed sense of energy as we forge ahead with many things to accomplish in a fantastic New Year! At Hawks, we'll be planning for our 10 year Anniversary while at Provisions + Public House, we'll be focused on renovating our patio and elaborating on our offerings in Provisions...so much to look forward to! We hope your 2017 is filled with excitement and many wonderful meals!


SECOND SUNDAY BRUNCH AT HAWKS
Join us this Sunday, January 8 from 10:30-1:30 for our Second Sunday Brunch at Hawks in Granite Bay! The first brunch of the New Year is a great time to reconnect with friends you haven't seen in a while and toast to a fresh start. Reservations can be made online or by calling 916.791.6200.

VALENTINE'S DAY
Reservations for Valentine's Day are now open! Both Hawks Granite Bay and Hawks Public House are here to help the cupids among us. Starting Sunday, February 12, Hawks in Granite Bay will have a special Second Sunday brunch, followed by a Sunday Supper fit for loved ones. For those looking for something more traditional, Chef Ed Lopez will create a special five-course prix fixe dinner menu for Monday and Tuesday, February 13-14. For those celebrating in the city, Hawks Public House is the perfect place to be and will offer a cocktail and wine pairing with the menu for the 14th. For reservations at Hawks Granite Bay, please call 916.791.6200 and to reserve at Public House call 916.588.4440.
DINNER WITH THE BEE
Join us on Sunday, January 22 for the first 2017 Sunday Dinner with The Sacramento Bee at Hawks Public House. This is a special ticketed event with a five-course dinner designed by chef/owner Mike Fagnoni and Justin Green. Beverages may be purchased before, during and after dinner. The Bee’s restaurant critic Carla Meyer and food and culture writer, Chris Macias, will interview the chefs and will be on hand during the event to speak with guests and answer questions. Dining space is limited so reserve your seat today!

BEHIND THE STICK
Congratulations to Rob Vasquez, our new sommelier and beverage director at Hawks Granite Bay! Rob has been with us since we opened 9 years ago and we are so proud to see him enter this new role. Rob and his lovely wife, and lead bartender Teresa, met while working at Hawks and now we have a true power couple behind the bar! 
SUPER BOWL TO GO
Superbowl LI is Sunday, February 5 and our Superbowl To Go menu at Hawks has everything you need to host a winning party! This year we're offering Chips & Dip, Shrimp Cocktail, Bourbon Barbeque Glazed Ribs and Mike's Lasagna Bolognese...if you haven't had it, now's your chance! Order forms will soon be available here. All orders will be picked up on Saturday, February 4th. 
LUXURY COOKING CLASS
We're looking forward to hosting our first cooking class of 2017 on Saturday, February 4th at Hawks Granite Bay. With Valentine's Day soon to follow, this class will be designed around luxury ingredients. All classes include recipes, instruction, lunch and wine. Please call 916.791.6221 for details and to reserve. Please note that your credit card or gift card will be charged $150 per guest upon reserving.
PROVISIONS TURNS 1
A year ago this January we opened Hawks Provisions, our little spot a few steps behind Public House offering coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads - to go! Chef Mike can often be found perfecting his latte art while Julia whips up one of our popular fried chicken sandwiches. Stop in and say hello! Monday - Friday 7am-3pm or order online here!
