The Heartland Economic Development Course (HEDC) offers intensive training in the basic concepts, information, methods, and strategies of local economic development. The course is April 23-27, 2017 in Blue Springs, Missouri.
Grant funds are available between $50,000 to $500,000 over a period of up to three years. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2017. The purpose of this U.S. Department of Agriculture program is to increase domestic consumption of, and access to, locally and regionally produced agricultural products, and to develop new market opportunities for farm and ranch operations serving local markets.
