Zazenkai (full-day mediation retreat) at Beginner's Mind Zen Center
A zazenkai is a full-day retreat: sitting meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), talks, service, teas, lunch, interviews with our teachers (dokusan) and a little mindful work (samu). A zazenkai is a great opportunity to kick-start or deepen your practice!

Full-day retreat on Saturday, February 18th

Schedule
We'll begin at 8am and end around 5:30pm on Saturday, February 18th. If you can join us for the full day... great! But if you're able to join us for only part of the day, please come. (The tentative schedule for this zazenkai is available on the Beginner's Mind Zen Center web site: click here.)

Lunch
We will be offering a vegetarian lunch, and we will be eating lunch together silently. So, if you're attending during the lunch period, and would like the provided lunch, PLEASE RSVP HERE FOR LUNCH (only). Otherwise, you're welcome to bring your own vegetarian lunch: something that does not require much (if any) preparation. If needed, please bring cold packs, a cooler or insulated container as the Zen Center refrigerator space is limited.

Fees
The zazenkai fee is $15 for BMZC members and $25 for non-members. Fees cover zendo and practice supplies and expenses (incense, flowers, utilities, cleaning supplies, etc.). You can pay on-site, or you can pay online. (See our web site for more information.)

We hope to see you at the zazenkai!
