My name is Hebah and I am so excited to have you join me on the BY DESIGN journey. I have always been interested in learning about people and their culture. I think it’s because I come from a very rich and colorful background.
I used to get very uncomfortable talking about my culture. I would start to share, then my voice would crack, and then my whole body would start to shake. I think it was because I was afraid of negative reactions and misconceptions.
I made some amazing friends over the last few years, that accepted and celebrated me and my culture. They made me feel safe, by positively listening to my stories, and they empowered me by asking me to share more.
I am very lucky to have such wonderful people in my life, but not everybody who is culturally diverse is as lucky. I decided to create a space for you to feel safe, share your truth, and help embrace others for being different. If you’ve joined this newsletter than you are a lover of people, you are passionate, and strong at heart. I am so excited to have you and I can’t wait to get to know you!

I’ll be sharing my personal stories and experiences growing up as a Palestinian - Jordanian - American, who lived most of her life in the Middle East and is now living in the U.S. I'll be sharing the lessons I’ve learned and why I choose to spread goodness every day.
Finally, you will get early access to the BY DESIGN podcast. The episodes will summarize the essence of the stories we listened to in the live shows. This series will contain all of the valuable lessons we learned along the way. It will celebrate our differences and highlight our similarities.
