FRESH CHALLENGES

TASC Trustees will be meeting in February to outline the year's work. If you have ideas to share then do get in touch.  You'll find some thoughts and further information on the 2017 section of our website

LIVE MUSIC
An old friend of TASC, Harriet Earis, is doing a short Welsh tour this week with the exciting Italian harp player Adriano Sangineto. Final performances at Hirnant on Friday 20th and Llanilar on Saturday 21st with a workshop on Italian and French tunes on the Saturday afternoon.
There's also a Wassail event in Llandrindod Wells on the Saturday, and the Arvon Ales regular session on Sunday.
New sessions have started in Llanidloes on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at the King's Head (aka the Royal Head)in Short Bridge Street.
Regular sessions continue at The Bull and Heifer, Bettws Cedewain, on the first Thursday.

EXPLORING THE TRADITION
Further afield Sue Harris, together with her sister Jeannie, Gareth Kiddier and another friend of TASC's Laurel Swift will be running a creative week at the splendid Halsway Manor in Somerset. Sue says there are still a couple of places left. The course runs from 6th to 10th February.
Even further afield our project to research the Dartmoor Step Dance Tradition, in partnership with the Dartmoor Folk Festival, has been awarded £25,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Work will be getting underway in the next week or so.

More information on these and other matters can be found on our website which we hope you find useful.
