Join us for the 2017 New Play Festival kickoff party next Sunday, January 22 from 5–7:00 PM at the new Modern Studio, 109 W Anderson Ave. in Happy Holler. This FREE event includes complimentary refreshments, a meet-&-greet with the actors, directors and playwrights, plus a showcase of short scenes from the Festival’s selection of new plays.

This year we're featuring two full productions, four table readings and one staged reading. Full schedule and details available here.

HOUSE RULES

Tickets on sale NOW for our first full production, Found Objects, by Marilynn Barner Anselmi. Does the truth always set us free? When a mother and daughter attempt to deal with the accidental death of their son/brother, the truth may keep them from healing. The show runs February 2–12th at the Historic Southern Railway Station, 300 W Depot Ave.

Table Readings:

Free admission. Each reading will include a discussion session afterwards with the cast, director and audience and, when possible, the playwright.

Dracula: Down for the Count by Mary Lynn Dobson
A comic retelling of the Dracula story. Think, “Young Frankenstein” meets Count Dracula.
