Lots of New Affiliates!
Stations transition to Free Talk Live after the end of multiple syndicated shows. As is the yearly tradition, the end of the year saw the termination of multiple syndication contracts. In response, former Herman Cain affiliate WNIX-AM/FM in Greeneville, MS signed onto Free Talk Live's live Sunday show and longtime existing FTL weeknight affiliates WJML-AM & WJNL-AM/FM replaced Cain's weekday midday slot with a delay broadcast of FTL! (WJNL is 50kW daytime!)
For some reason, Westwood One decided to cease production on the weekend "best-of" John Batchelor, though his weekday program continues. As a result, several former Batchelor weekend affiliates have joined or expanded FTL, including new affiliates KLKS-FM in Brainerd, MN and KHMO-AM in Hannibal, MO. Also replacing Batchelor weekends is former FTL affiliate WBNW-AM in Concord/Boston, MA signing back on with FTL's live weekend shows. Plus, our existing affiliate WPGG-AM/FM in Atlantic City, NJ expanded our weekend shows to all three hours live as a result of the end of Batchelor's weekend shows.
Overnight America, one of the slim-pickings for overnight programs in the syndication business, also ended at the end of 2016. As a result, our existing affiliate in Anchorage, AK, KBYR-AM and its two FM translators in the northern part of the state have expanded FTL to all seven nights per week!
In other affiliate news, KGOE-AM in Eureka, CA has expanded us to weeknight overnights and WNRI-AM in Woonsocket, RI has added an FM translator. As always, you can see our
full list of over 160 affiliates here.

Quote from an Industry Pro
"No insane contracts, no added inventory and good, live, compelling programming. I think FTL would work on almost any talk format." - Tom Sebourn, Program Director, KGOE-AM
