INDUSTRY EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The RFUANZ Industry Excellence Awards will be presented at the  2017 RFUANZ Gala Dinner sponsored by Chatter PTT. Nominations close on Friday 10th March at 6pm

The 2017 Gala Dinner will be the first year the Industry Excellence awards will be presented under a new system. This has been implemented to recognise and acknowledge the many forms of excellence we see in our industry. All nominees will be presented an award at the Gala Dinner and this is categorised by Gold, Silver or Bronze. An overall category winner will be presented the voucher and trophy on the evening.

This new format will allow companies to promote themselves as Gold, Silver or Bronze award winners. These ‘quality stamps’ signify excellence in the industry and allow companies to promote their services & achievements to end users. Our goal is to have these ‘quality stamps’ widely recognised by both industry participants and consumers. Read more about the new award system here.

RFUANZ Training Program
The much-discussed Training program is nearing fruition. The content for Electrotechnology Level 3 has been approved and the course providers are being accredited so the path is clear for the program to proceed. The process now requires applicants for the course, and once we have suitable numbers the process will start.

The RFUANZ website has a page for applicants to register their details, both those of the applicant and those of the employer. This information will be passed on to Skills NZ who will then contact the Employer / Applicant and
formalise the procedure for acceptance into the program. This will include registering with NZQA if applicable and the process for obtaining the training subsidy from the Govt.  Skills will then handle the training program and establish the system to monitor and assist the training applicant throughout the course.

The Core Electrotechnology Level 3 program may be shared by several industries, and then the individual "Strands" will apply to the individual groups. This particular Electrotechnology Level 3 course has been brokered with 6 different segments of
industry in NZ including the Navy. The Training page on the RFUANZ website has a copy of the Electrotechnology Level 3 delivery material, a brief outline of the course content.
