In 10 years, the merger between Acte 1 architecture et ALTIPLAN°architects has come of age and Jean-Paul Jamin has decided to take on a new challenge with the engineering firm ELLYPS – BEL as a partner in charge of business development and strategy.
We would like to express our thanks to him for those 10 years during which he worked for the development of ALTIPLAN°, as a director. Our very best wishes of success accompany him in his new challenge.
Thibaut Piraux and Ralph Schröder, respectively partners since 2009 and 2012, take charge of the operations of Liège office, in the continuity of what has been initiated for several years to ensure a sustainable management of ALTIPLAN°.

The major renovation preserves the building’s original morphology, while making it one of the tallest passive building in the Brussels Region.

One year after the beginning of the works...
This vast multifunctional ensemble will complete the pedestrian area between the GrandPlace and the lake. A hotel, retail outlets, residential homes and an apartment block will extend the city’s residential and services offering, while completing the network of public spaces.
The project located Quai Saint Léonard features 13 apartments on 7 floors and a retail area on the ground floor. The 2 and 3-room apartments enjoy abundant daylight through large openings and a splendid view of the Meuse and Liège city centre. The building in a contemporary style features pre-cast white concrete blocks seemingly placed randomly. The facade incorporates discrete LED lighting, switched on in the evenings. The commercialization of this private development has started. The project will be completed in the spring of 2017.
