    • Monitor trends in digital library & Institutional Repositories (IR) areas within academia, providing the executive leadership team with the necessary information to ensure Case is prepared for potential changes by continually investigating and providing KSL leadership with expertise about emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and resources and recommending possible courses of action. Engage with the Fedora & Hydra open source communities, to help meet our goals and to support the greater community.  Manage the use, development and progress of the IR.     • Digital Services and Research Support.   • Project Manager, International Archive of Women in Architecture, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg VA
    • The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the production of approximately 35,000 digital objects to support the “Women of Design” mass-digitization project. The successful candidate will direct the workflow for the project, manage daily activities, and supervise staff and students. The Project Manager will oversee the selection and digitization of original materials, assist with background historical research on items for potential digitization, resolve potential copyright or privacy concerns, review scanned items and metadata for quality control, and assist with uploading and preserving the digital content. With assistance from project leaders, the Project Manager will ensure that project goals are met, technical standards and professional practices are followed, the project is successfully promoted, and the financial expenditures are carefully monitored.

    • The Project Digitization Specialist will have primary responsibility for scanning items selected for digitization and creating associated metadata for those digital items. In addition, they will assist with completing background historical research on items for potential digitization, identify items for potential copyright or privacy concerns, and review scanned items and metadata for quality control. They will also collaborate with other staff in the University Libraries to ensure that technical standards and professional practices are followed, monitor production numbers, and work with participants to meet project deadlines.
