One retreat-er was struggling at home with heartbreaking family stuff. She took a chance and spent a weekend with some women she didn’t know and in that process she found that she wasn’t alone, that she could carve out time for herself, even in the midst of chaos/crisis and she learned that taking care of herself was what made it possible for her to take care of her family.

Today she has a meditation practice, a gratitude practice, she spends more time saying yes to things she wants and less time saying yes to things she felt obligated to say yes to.
