A SILVER LINING:
HEALTH CO- BENEFITS OF CLIMATE CHANGE POLICIES
The policies that need to be implemented to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will also bring about substantial reductions in air pollution and cardiovascular disease, as well as propelling changes in urban mobility and our built environment. UPCOMING LUNCH & LEARN
Tuesday, February 15
Noon - 1:00 pm
King County has historically been a productive agricultural region with dairies, livestock operations, crop farms and berry fields. Rich agricultural areas once supported hundreds of families and provided an abundant local food source for thousands. Increased land prices, regulations, urban pressures, and drainage problems have all significantly contributed to the reduction of farmland in King County; however, farming is still a vital presence. Bring your lunch and learn about the work being done to protect and preserve farmland in our region.
