FEED YOUR SPIRIT
WORSHIP NEWS
"The familiar life horizon has been outgrown; the old concepts, ideals, and emotional patterns no longer fit; the time for the passing of a threshold is at hand," wrote Joseph Campbell of the "Call to Adventure."  Jesus calls us to follow him.  How do we do that?  We begin to explore the skills necessary to Risk the Adventure in this Sunday's worship.

Check out Weekly Seeds, a resource for prayer and Bible study, published by the United Church of Christ. This week's is entitled "A Call to Follow" and fits well with our upcoming sermon and worship.

UNITED CHURCH NEWS

Convergence is calling on anyone who envisions a more just and generous world into a life-giving initiative called, “100 Days of Action" launching on Inauguration Day. They are challenging congregations and leaders to partner together for the next 100 days in a shared voice, curriculum, and series of events that will mobilize our churches to action, not because of what we are against, but because of what we are for.

CONNECT WITH OTHERS
COMMUNITY NEWS & EVENTS
"Marches and other forms of public witness can be transformative. They help us to locate ourselves in a particular time and place within caring communities. These actions also push us to ask the question - not simply what happens next, but what will we do next? "  . . .
