Special update about the Professional Development (PD) Profile Transition Process + info about the CCIP reports due over the next month.

ALERT!
PD Profile Data in CCIP DB

We are pleased to announce that the revised short PD Profile data form features in the CCIP Database are now functional, so you may enter and export your data for this report to the Child Development and Training Consortium (CDTC) when you are ready to do so.

However, the long PD Profile data form has been removed from the CCIP Database. We will export the long form data that has already been entered and send this data directly to each CCIP contractor via e-mail by the end of January. Then you will be able to upload your PD profile data to the CDTC Portal.

If you have not yet entered your long form data in the CCIP Database, use the Data Dictionary & Instructions Direct Services to complete the Data Entry Template and Export Direct Services process. Contact Janell Doornenbal of the CDTC at doornenbalj.yosemite@edu if you have questions about how to do this.

The CDTC has granted CCIP sites an extension on the reporting deadline, so your PDP Profile Data for July 1 - December 31, 2016 will be due on February 17, 2017.

We are glad that we were able to provide the collection and export features in the CCIP Database since the PD Profile data forms came into use, but the sudden and unexpected changes in the PD Profile data reporting process for collecting this data has extended the Network CCIP Team beyond our contracted capacity, so we will not be able to make all of the changes to the CCIP Database that would be necessary now in a way that is effective and timely for your needs.

We appreciate your understanding and patience through this transition. Please know that we hear your concerns and are working on our end to make the PD Profile data reporting process as smooth as possible. As many of you know, we have been working diligently to improve the CCIP Database and will focus our time on CCIP reporting features and protocols. We understand that CDE, CDTC, and the CA ECE Workforce Registry are working closely to provide technical assistance and improve upon existing processes; we will continue to collect your feedback to share with them and coordinate technical assistance that is specific to CCIP & R&Rs.

CDTC Profile Transition Info

Per direction from the CDE, EESD, the Child Development Training Consortium is changing the Professional Development Profile collection and reporting process. Here is a reminder of the most pertinent information, and a few links that should be useful.

A few notes:
  1. As of January 1, 2017, training participants will fill out the new short form only. You should not use the long form.
  2. The short form needs to be filled out completely. The date and city of birth and last 5 digits of the social security number are still needed.
  3. The name of the short form has changed slightly: it is now called "Direct Service & Infrastructure Short Form". There is a check box on the top of the form to designate if it is for Direct Service or Infrastructure.
Here are links to the revised participant profile short form in English and Spanish:
If you have translated this form into Chinese, and could let us know, that would be appreciated.

Below, you can find a screenshot highlighting where you can find these forms in the CDTC Training Portal.

Contact Janell Doornenbal from the CDTC at doornenbalj.yosemite@edu if you do not have a login or need assistance.

CA Child Care R&R Network Mid-year Reports

1.  CCIP Database: Click here for reporting instructions

It is important that all your data is entered into the CCIP Database by January 20th. Network CCIP staff will run the reports and send you a summary as soon as the data has been cleaned and processed. If you need an extension inform Gretchen Schwab as soon as possible. At this time we can only grant up to 5 business days, or as late as January 27th.

2.  Fiscal Report:

Important Note!! We have a new process for submitting mid-year fiscal reports. Please share this information with the person that completes the fiscal reports for CCIP at your site. Here are the four simple steps:

If you have any questions about this new process, please contact email Helen Woodlee or give her a call at 530-283-5100.
