We are still astounded the Lord has brought us to PNG and that you are such a significant part of our journey. Enjoy a few glimpses of how the Lord used us for ministry, changed us, and encouraged us in 2016!
With Love, Cassidy & Kari
JANUARY
We received a surprise radio call from California friends who were in PNG serving on the other side of the island!
FEBRUARY
Building a "kitchen" and learning to cook over an open fire, without refrigeration, in preparation for our time living in a village.
MARCH
We did a lot of hiking in the jungle during our cultural training. Here we are being welcomed to stay overnight in a remote village.
APRIL
In the village, we invited the children into our home for story time in Tok Pisin. This was a fun way to improve our language.
MAY
These men were our language teachers.  We have been blessed to learn Tok Pisin and be able to communicate easier with the locals.
JUNE
We jumped back into the Children's Home in time to celebrate the semester end with s'mores and the waterslide at night!
JULY
Cassidy was asked to step in as the high school Principal for a few months. The schools are on a year round school calendar.
AUGUST
Sunday evenings the teens gather for youth group, "Soul Purpose." Cassidy spoke to the group on Jonah and following God's call.
SEPTEMBER
This month we served as the cooks for the high school spiritual retreat. In a team of 4, we cooked all the meals for 100+ students and adult leaders.
OCTOBER
We filled in as the Guesthouse Managers in Lae. It was a blessing to learn how the Centre supports Bible translation in PNG.
NOVEMBER
Cassidy's parents were able to visit us in Ukarumpa this month! It was encouraging to firsthand share our lives in PNG with them!
DECEMBER
An important part of our ministry life is taking moments to invest in our marriage, and reflect on God's work in and through us.
