Failing Pile of Garbage! That is what President elect called Buzzfeed, who published the 35-page unverified intelligence dossier, during his much talked about first press conference. What did Buzzfeed do with the moniker? Merch and sell it of course! After the circus that was the press conference where a lot was said a lot of confusion arose, CNN's Jim Acosta was on the receiving end of Trump's tantrums. The presser ended with more questions than answers. Biotech and pharma stocks plummeted. Some reports are now saying former MI-6 spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the unverified intelligence dossier, has gone into hiding. Outside of the presser, confirmation hearings are still going on and Corey Booker broke with ranks to testify against AG nominee Jeff Sessions. While you were getting your beauty rest, members of the U.S Senate were burning the midnight oil getting some ACA repeal work done. With a 51-48 vote, through a special budget procedure not requiring 60 votes, they will now be able to instruct key committees to draft legislation repealing President Barack Obama's signature health insurance program. Though an actual replacement for ACA aka Obamacare has not been presented, the resolution now goes to the House of Representatives, which is expected to vote on it this week.

The 2016 World Series Champions Chicago Cubs will visit  the White House next Monday,  a day after the team completes their annual fan convention in Chicago but before new President elect Trump takes office. Though many members of the Ricketts family were avid Trump supporters, Pres. Obama had invited them to DC before his term was up. Some are speculating its more a Chicago thing rather than it being due to Trump's immigration views.

ENTERTAINMENT

• Chicago's own Chance The Rapper is starting off 2017 on a high note. He is sharing the double cover of GQ magazine's Feb. issue with The Weeknd (hear about him and Selena Gomez). Chance, the son of deputy chief of staff to Mayor Rahm Emanuel Ken Bennett, talks about family, fame, frozen yogurt and more.

• ABC's black-ish, a show that follows Andre 'Dre' Johnson (Anthony Anderson) and his well to do black family where he strives to establish a sense of cultural identity for his family that honors their past while embracing the future, and has never been shy to address topics affecting black families and the black community, delved into the after effect feelings since Donald Trump won the presidential election. On an unrelated note, this image of Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson should give you a good laugh.

FASHION

• Yesterday was Valentino's turn to present their Pre-fall 2017 collection. Pierpaolo Piccioli's pesentation at New York’s Beekman hotel, according to WWD, was "a glorious collection." Piccioli focused on daywear with a particular emphasis on the shirtdress and more. On the other side of the fashion world, you will be seeing lots of dandies and well dressed men's street style as Pitti Uomo which actually started Jan. 9 will go until Thursday and Milan's Men Fashion shows (Milano Moda Uomo) begins Friday 1/13 with Ermenegildo Zegna.
