Grumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever
Let's face it, it was only a matter of time before someone cashed in on one of the Internet's most recognizable memes with its own game. Thankfully, this one is quirky and fun with the sense of humor you'd expect from the namesake.

Headlines this week
  • Adobe is reportedly working on an app that will let you edit images with your voice. They released a YouTube video that demonstrates the tech at work. In the video, the man crops the image, flips it around, and then shares it on Facebook. It's not currently available for anybody, but the demo is definitely promising. It could be months or years before we see something like this hit the market, though. We'll just have to be patient for right now.
  • Facebook and Facebook Messenger were apparently draining more battery than usual over the last couple of weeks. The complaints were legitimate except this time Facebook actually fixed them. It was apparently something on their end that was fixed on their side. All users have to do is restart the apps on their phone to apply the change. At least it was an easy fix for everybody. Now Facebook can focus on all that other battery drain they cause.
  • Facebook made headlines this week when it was reported that the social media network may start using mid-video ads. This means that you'll see an ad in the middle of your video instead of at the beginning or the end. The feature is currently in testing so Facebook can see how users react to it. We imagine that it'll make its way to Facebook proper if the blow back isn't too bad.
  • Fitbit has been busying buying up smartwatch companies. Apparently, they are also working on an app store. According to CEO James Park, they want this task completed as soon as humanly possible. They didn't say why, but the popular conjecture is that the company is working on its own smartwatch. That's where all the signs are pointing. We don't know much yet, but we'll keep an eye out and let you know when something happens.
  • The Google Hangouts API will be shutting down in April. The announcement came late last week and had some people legitimately worried about the service. Basically what's happening is that a bunch of apps that use the Hangouts API will be denied access. We're talking about the apps in Google Hangouts video chat that puts a mustache on your face or makes fun sound effects. The app itself will not be affected in any way.
App Updates
Additional app releases, announcements, and deals
  • Lara Croft: Guardian of Light and Cross DJ Pro are currently on sale for $0.10 in select countries. Check it out and see if you can pick these up on the cheap!
  • You can now pre-register for Shadowblood. For those who don't know, Shadowblood is a third-person action RPG. We're hoping it's going to be a lot of fun.
  • Google Voice is apparently re-imagining itself again sometime soon. Those who still use the service have likely seen a notification on their dashboard that a new version of Google Voice is coming to consumers. We don't know what the features are yet, but they are definitely coming. Some people have even reported being called by the service and left a message about speed dial. Here's hoping the update is awesome.
  • The Samsung Pay website may have accidentally announced the existence of Samsung Pay Mini and Bixby. The idea is that Samsung Pay Mini is a smaller version of Samsung Pay that works in areas where Samsung Pay does not, like online transactions. It could be a lot of fun although we're still not 100% sure what these new things are going to do.
