Welcome new families & primary students!
With the start of 2017, we have four new families who have joined the SVMS community and one current family who has enrolled a younger sibling of an elementary student. Which means we have 6 new students! Join us in welcoming these new families by introducing yourselves to anyone who doesn't look familiar to you. Warmest welcome!

CAR LINE REMINDERS

Morning Carline begins at 8:20 and ends at 8:30.  If you arrive after 8:30, please park and walk your child into the office.

Remember to be courteous to our neighbors who live down at the end of Carver Avenue. The DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAY signs (shown in the image above) are indicators for you to leave a large space (30+ feet) between you and the car in front of you in the area where the Carver Ave drive comes up the hill and intersects with our carline. Traffic needs to be able to flow up and down Carver Ave even during our car line.

Remember to leave space in the carline where the road is close to the edge of the brick building. Please leave a large enough space for exiting traffic to continue to flow. Look for the STOP sign that will indicate where you should STOP and WAIT for space to be created before you can proceed forward. Once the exiting flow has stopped and there is space, you may move forward.

Thank you for helping our carline move smoothly and efficiently!
Annual Fund
100% PARTICIPATION

We are pleased to announce that we have raised a little over $4,500 since the end of November and 69% of our families, staff and board of directors have given a donation. Our staff is the first group to reach 100% giving status! WOO HOO! Let's keep up this momentum and get to 100% giving for everyone by the end of January!

Remember, our focus is not how much you give, but that you give something so that we can get to 100%.

Please consider what you can contribute to this valuable fund that supports all that we do here at SVMS. Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year and we are looking for 100% parent, staff and board participation this year. Help us secure more outside funding by demonstrating your dedication to SVMS. Let's do it with 100% participation!

Come and be amazed at this fabulous family event that benefits both SVMS and the Vanishing Wheelchair.

Mark it on your calendars!

DATE: Saturday, February 18th
TIME: 2:00-4:00pm
LOCATION: Carver Center Auditorium - 101 Carver Avenue, Black Mtn

We are looking for volunteers to hang flyers around town starting next week. Contact erin@swanmont.org.

Then for the day of the event we will need volunteers for set-up and break-down, to supply baked goods for intermission concessions, to help set up concessions and to run the concessions. Sign-up for the day of the event here.

Tickets will come home with your children 3 weeks prior to the event, so that they can sell tickets to friends, family and neighbors.

This is such a fun and worthy event! Hope to see you there!
Thank you!

We wish we had the time to thank each and everyone of you personally for the time, money or resources you give to us to make what we do here at SVMS possible. We are so grateful and hope to be able list our volunteers for the month here. So, please log your hours as you go so that we can thank you!
