Chris Nevins Chapel Speaker
Wednesday, January 11th, the upper school students had the pleasure of hearing from Chris Nevins, a local volunteer firefighter and county prosecutor. Mr. Nevins, who has three children of his own, works to prosecute county offenses. During his message he enlisted three volunteers to demonstrate an emergency situation. Mr. Nevins used Jonathan Hoermann to demonstrate how the gear is worn, and how it is used to keep him safe. His clothing protects him from the elements, his oxygen sustains him, and his devices keep him in contact with dispatch. Mr. Nevins’ outstanding message urged students to be ready for “faith emergencies,” and to remain in constant contact with God. He used the components of his fire gear to relate to the armor of God. As a first responder, Mr. Nevins in constantly risking his life for others. His gear keeps him safe, just as Christ sustains him from danger.

Thank You!
Dear Logic and Rhetoric School Parents and Students,
On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of Heritage School’s Upper School students, please accept our most sincere appreciation for the generous gift card and extra cash with which you surprised all of us just before Christmas. It was such an unexpected delight to find the card with the student’s signatures along with such a nice gift!
We are grateful to be able to teach in a school where teachers are honored and Christ is glorified. Thank you for your gift, but more importantly, thank you for your support as parents and your investment in, not only the education, but the character of your children.
In Christ,
The Faculty & Staff
