Dear Parents
The children now seem to have settled back into the school routine and the snow yesterday evening provided an exciting end to the week!
We are sending out the Curriculum Termly Overviews for each year group today so please take a look at these and enjoy the exciting range of topics being covered this term. Mr Grosse and I have both tracked classes for half a day this week and both of us have been impressed with the variety and challenge the children enjoy during their day.

Year 6 introduce themselves in French |
Year 6 (and 5) have returned to their French studies this term by researching and discussing about France and the French way of life. They have also ‘rebooted’ their French language studies by reviewing and extending their knowledge of introducing and talking about themselves (most people’s favourite activity!). |

Developing handwriting in Reception |
In Reception, the children regularly practise handwriting to develop their letter formations. With the support of teachers, pupils are invited to write throughout the seven areas of learning, whether it’s writing about weekend news or labelling their drawings.
Watch our short video to see the progress that Reception make with their handwriting from the start of the school year, to the end. |
