Welcome to 2017, the Year of KIJ...
The Countdown is on, The Kent Scouts International Jamboree 2017 is approaching fast. The team are hard at work behind the scenes putting together the programme and infrastructure for a fun filled week! There are still limited places available, if you know of groups wanting to come let them know! To kick start our year, we are pleased to be able to let us see into the first sight of the Programme below...
Day Trips
One of the 5 programme days during the Jamboree, will be your chance to go offsite and experience one of the four individually great Day Trip packages we have put together. To select your trip, head to the booking system and log into your booking. Click on "Edit Group", scroll to the bottom and you will see a preference of first, second and third choice. Trips will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
The options are:
London -
Spend the day exploring the iconic city of London. You will be dropped in Central London where you will then have time to explore whatever landmarks and attractions you choose.
Hastings -
A day at the coast, visiting one of Kent`s famous coastal towns. Groups will be dropped by the beach where they will then have the chance to explore all the coastal town has to offer.
Dover Castle -
An action packed day out to one of Kent`s Medieval Castles, the largest castle in England. Whether you climb The Great Tower or meet the medieval characters, its an attraction not to be missed.
Port Lympne -
Port Lympne is an award winning wild animal park located in 30 minutes from the Jamboree. You will experience amazing WILD animals from around the world and have the chance to enjoy an Authentic African Safari.
KIJ Catering Package
As previously mentioned we are pleased to be able to offer a fully catered package to groups at KIJ for a price of £77GBP per person. This can now be added to your booking via the booking system under the edit Group page. For people under your booking with Dietary Requirements or Allergies, please add this in by selecting the Edit function of the person and ticking the appropriate boxes.

What's Next:
- Start to gather each of your participants personal details and consent forms and enter them into the system. To allow us to allocate subcamps as soon as possible please also check the participant types of your Young People
- A paper copy of the personal details is available here
- You can continue to make part payments towards your final fees in the same way your deposit was paid
- Contingents that are sharing kit with other groups or have specific camping pitch requests, please email the Subcamp Team as soon as possible
- We are looking for groups to help host international groups. If you can help please let us know here
