HAS GREAT POWER! - JAMES 5:16

Dear friend and partner in ministry,

Most heartfelt greetings from Bulgaria! Happy New Year to you and yours! In the beginning of 2017, I want to take the time to thank you for remembering us in prayer and in your giving. We keep going and reaching people from every walk of life because of your partnership. You are truly making a difference in Bulgaria and beyond.
In the beginning of this new year, I felt that the Lord is leading me to begin a Daniel's Fast and call others from our team to join us in fasting and praying. The days after New Year's Eve, we began to obstain from eating any meat and general delicacies. But besides having only vegetable soups for meals, the focus of this 21 fast is to pray and cry out before the Lord on behalf of those who need to hear the Gospel, our loved ones, churches and our nations. Let us pray and believe in our God for great things this year! Let us believe for the impossible, because nothing is impossible with God!
Bulgaria is experiencing the coldest January in many years and we were snowed down for two weeks right after Christmas. Our children were very excited to have a Christmas break from Dec. 23rd to January 15th due to the flu and extremely low temps.
In harsh weather like that, your giving makes all the difference! Because of your partnership, hundreds of children from single parent homes received food packages and new shoes. Our ministry helped provide almost a ton of nutritious food and honey and put it on the table of over 1,000 refugee children and almost 2,000 adult refugees living in refugee camps on Southern Bulgaria. Many refugees come to the worship center at camp and they can't help but ask, "Why?". And the answer is always, "Because of our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus has given us everything and He has commanded us show mercy."
We need your prayers today and please consider giving this month for our family and ministry. Pray for Maria and I, as we leave our children with their grandmother Shelly (Paraskeva is her full name) and travel to visit the US for almost 40 days, February 4 - March 13. We will visit to serve, encourage and build up our relationship with new and established long-term ministry partners. We have been tremendously blessed to become a blessing for many in Bulgaria. One of the reasons to travel together is to give back out of appreciation, gratitude and love.
