WHAT'S HOT

Tiger's big move: With his season beginning this week at Torrey Pines, the former World No. 1 inks a deal to use M1 and M2 woods, TaylorMade announced Wednesday morning at the PGA Merchandise Show. The company also plans to build him irons and wedges. Woods had been a Nike hardgoods endorser for decades before that company exited the category in August, and he will continue to wear Nike apparel.

Say hello to the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x: The ball-maker upgrades both its popular Tour-level balls. Titleist promises more distance with the Pro V1 and more consistency with the Pro V1x. Input from Tour pros, PGA of America professionals and a wide swath of amateurs helped the company focus on what changes players wanted.

Scotty Cameron's seven newest mallets: Titleist's master putter-maker, long known for his classic heel-toe-weighted blades, has developed new Futura mallets for golfers looking for stability and forgiveness in their stroke.

Callaway's latest family member: It’s a new era for Michelle Wie, who for the first time in her professional career has something other than a Nike Swoosh on her clubs.
