Iowa Statewide Influenza Summary: Influenza activity in Iowa is increasing. For this reporting week the State Hygienic Laboratory confirmed 59 influenza A(H3), one influenza A (subtype pending), five influenza B(Victoria Lineage), seven influenza B (Yamagata Lineage) and one influenza B(lineage pending) viruses from submitted samples. 71 influenza related hospitalizations were reported from sentinel hospitals during this reporting week.
