December ReStart Student of the Month
Congratulations to Daniel Herrera for winning December ReStart Student of the Month. Daniel has been a wonderful addition to KEC. He has excellent attendance and great grades. Before Daniel starts his regular school day, he attends an early bird automotive class through KEC as well.  He is always polite, not only to staff but to his fellow classmates. He is willing to help his classmates and is always on task. He has a great sense of humor, even though he is a quiet student. Great job Daniel!
December KEC Project of the Month
Mrs. Chevy's judo-bots won project of the month for December! It was another one of her very creative projects to engage students in learning.
Donor's Choose Project
Mrs. Chevalier's students need Chromebooks to engage in 21st century skills to become proficient users of technology and its application to a variety of learning experiences. Click below to find out more!

Take 5

Take 5 with…Mrs. Holliday

You may have known her as Miss Phelps. Or, you might only know her as Mrs. Holliday. However you know her, you know that she’s been a big reason why so many students have been successful at KEC over the years. Here is what else you might want to know when it comes to Mrs. Holliday:

~ Her absolute favorite place to shop is Target
because they have anything and everything!

~When Mrs. Holiday thinks about her teenage years, she remembers being loud, strong-willed, and caring for others. Doesn’t sound too different from the Mrs. Holliday
we know today, does it?

~Five things that we will always find in Mrs. Holliday’s refrigerator are eggs, Greek yogurt, water bottles, ketchup, and fruit. In her cabinets, you’ll always find Godiva chocolate!

~They say you should laugh, think, and cry every day.
Mrs. Holliday definitely thinks and laughs every day.
Lately, she’s been crying most days, too…
lots of good tears and nervous tears, too.

~The one thing that Mrs. Holliday wishes she was better at
was letting go of things. She’ll keep working on it.

Take 5 with…Mr. Nauman

Mr. Nauman is our fearless physical education teacher at KEC. He’s been teaching at KEC for exactly one year, and we’re happy to have him here. There is still lots to learn about Mr. Nauman, but here’s a quick look at the guy who gets our students up and moving each day!

~Mr. Nauman loved his high school years. The only thing he would change about that time is the amount of studying he did. He would study harder and not just
coast through the days!

~Basketball is Mr. Nauman’s favorite sport to watch. The Golden State Warrirors are his team. And his favorite
NBA player…Steph Curry.

~Mr. Nauman looks forward to night time every day. It’s when he finally gets a chance to relax, wind down, and hang out with family and friends.

~Speaking of family…Mr. Nauman’s hero is his dad. His father has always been there for him. Mr. Nauman knows that no matter what, he can count on his dad.

~Mr. Nauman had a New Year’s resolution. It was to stop drinking Mountain Dew. So far, so good…he hasn’t had any Mountain Dew in the new year!

Take 5 with…Mr. Graver

Mr. Graver has worked with KEC in different ways and at different times over the years. Since 2015, we’ve been lucky enough to have him as an instructor.
Think you know Mr. Graver? Think again!

~Mr. Graver loves Skittles. He considers all of the flavors his favorite, but his most favorite has to be cherry.

~Mr. Graver helped coach his daughter’s softball
team to a championship. Their reward?
An all-you-can-eat pizza party….not too bad!

~The one thing that Mr. Graver is looking forward to this year is…summer vacation! He and his family will spend most of the summer camping at
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park.

~If Mr. Graver had $1,000,000, and he had to give it away, he would give it to his daughter. He knows that she
would use it for good.

~Mr. Graver has a favorite age. It was when he was 29, since he almost didn’t make it to the age of 30.
We are so thankful that he did!
