MANOR HOUSE NEWSLETTER

Congratulations to the U13 Netball team who took part in the Surrey Netball Tournament on Wednesday 25 January.
Finishing second in their section they have qualified for the finals on the 5 March where they will be amongst the best twelve schools in Surrey.

Message from the Head

We are in the process of analysing the Year 11 trial examination results and working with the senior girls and their parents in order to secure the best possible outcomes this summer.  The next few months will require hard work, revision and support from teaching staff but I am confident that Year 11 will be successful.

We are currently receiving a high level of enquiries and our next Open Morning takes place on Wednesday 8 February from 9.30am.  Visitors will see the school in action, hear a talk about the school from myself and be able to speak with some of our students and staff.

We will soon be announcing exciting news about our holiday camps and hope to be able to share plans with you before half term detailing what will be on offer over the summer.  Girls are signing up for the Tennis Coaching at half term and details about the Easter Tennis Camp will also be published soon.

On the theme of sport, my congratulations must go to the Year 8 Netball squad who have qualified for the Surrey Championships. This positions them in the top 12 teams across Surrey.  The girls play with tenacity, skill and excellent teamwork so we wish them every success in the finals.  Thank you to coaches Mrs Buck and Mrs Townend. Despite the cold weather, the girls are training hard at lunch breaks and after school.  Good luck to Year 6 who also have a tournament this weekend.

The uniform review is going well and I have been liaising with a number of parent representatives including our Uniform Shop volunteers on future plans. The objective is to provide a smart and stylish uniform of which girls are pleased to wear and at a competitive price.  As I have stressed, there will be a phased introduction of the new uniform in order to minimise the cost for parents.

Ms Tracey Fantham.
