Order Pick-Up Tomorrow

Pick up for your most recent order (if you placed one!) is at the back alley of the Food Bank at 306 Alexander Street on Saturday January 28th from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

We still need volunteers...

On Friday January 27th at 2 pm at the back alley of the Food Bank we will be sorting the food and need help. Please drop by if you are able to volunteer!

We also need volunteers for Saturday. If you have ordered, please consider volunteering for a while when you come pick up your food. Once you've found your own order, you could help others find theirs!

We ordered almost $6,000 in 24 orders from Horizon this time, plus $128 from local suppliers- on this order- which is fantastic!

On future orders we hope to add Carina products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, etc - good, organic, environment/animal friendly Canadian products). Also, we are working on our Discovery dairy and product bags and bulk produce options over the next few orders. Stay tuned.

New Website

Have you checked out the new Potluck Food Co-op website yet?

It is up and running now and an excellent system that allows all of our members to easily order both organic, healthy food from the Horizon Catalogue and local products with just a scroll and click of the mouse.

The website is open continuously now, so you can order online as you think of things you need, and you will be notified when the final deadline is for the next distribution date.

Yay! An Upcoming AGM

Please mark your calendars for the AGM!

Wednesday, March 15 at 7:00 pm
at the Yukon Conservation Society building where we have our new office

In addition to the usual AGM business, we'll be doing a presentation about where the Potluck Food Co-op is at now and head into a discussion about where we might go from here.

Under the new way we are operating, we may have more time to focus on food security issues and other food-related projects, and we would like to hear from our members!

Bring along anyone you think might be interested in joining our co-op.

We will also be presenting special resolutions to make changes to our constitution such as:

-extending our AGM period to March 31
-reducing the minimum number of directors
-introducing an annual membership fee

See you there!
