Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, 'Say, what are you doing Saturday night?'

Alton Little Theater presents Give Dance a Chance
Area Dance Studios, colleges and professional Dancers will be performing in the Give Dance A Chance Concert at Alton Little Theater on Saturday, February 11th at 7:30 p.m. It is one of many efforts by those involved to promote dance in the Riverbend area. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 ($8 for 12 and under) but are now available through the ALT Website: www.altonlittletheater.org. Post show reception will include offerings from La Mia Cucina and LuciAnna's pastries.
"Our Community is abundant with artistic opportunities. I'm very grateful to teach dance and choreograph musicals at Alton High but there's nothing for adult dancers who want to perform. It's also important to me as a dance educator to make sure my students are aware of the career paths dance can offer," says concert coordinator, Rachel Brady.
This concert is one of several collaborations for many of the groups involved. Past performances have included dance concerts at the Amphitheater, a concert for peace at the LCCC Chapel, collaborations with Alton High's Chamber Strings and the Alton Muny Band, and most recently a holiday production title " A Winter's Gift".
The Give Dance a Chance Concert is an attempt to develop an audience for concert dance in the area and to provide area dancers with performance opportunities that do not involve competing against each other. We all know that arts add life and vitality to our community. Give Dance a Chance to do the same!

Clayton Community Theatre presents A View from a Bridge
February 23 - March 5, 2017
Clayton Community Theatre (CCT) is one of the St. Louis area’s leading community theatres; at the inaugural Theater Mask Awards (the St. Louis area’s recognition program for outstanding community theatre) last year, CCT took home more awards than any other group.
Directing Clayton Community Theatre’s production of “A View from the Bridge” is Joe Hanrahan, one of the area's most established theatre artists. Joe Hanrahan is the Artistic Director of The Midnight Company, and has directed for Midnight, Slightly Askew, The Black Rep, OnSite, The West End Players, Theatre Guild of Webster Groves, and for the late, great companies The Orthwein and The New Theatre. For the recently announced 2017 St. Louis Theater Circle Awards, Joe was nominated as Best Director/Drama for Slightly Askew's production of “Cuddles.” He will be directing “The Flick” for R-S Theatrics in December, 2017.
"The concerns of ‘A View from the Bridge’ are certainly as timely and vital to our lives as ever, and that's how true classic literature and drama speak to us," said Hanrahan. "But it is also a vivid and urgent portrait of real people and their lives - people who are flawed, full of dreams - people we know and care about. It is a modern masterpiece."
